Welcome to the first newsletter for 2012. I hope that the year is going well for you.
It's been incredibily busy here at LMTCC with lots of new customers as well as lots of orders from our regular customers. Its great to have many new customers popping into the shop as well as visiting the website and phoning with their clock questions. Last week I had a call from a man wishing to upgrade his train driver ticket. Now that one was out of my league!

The good news is that you may combine orders with GPW - So if you also order woodwork supplies such as pen parts, tools, woodturning and woodworking supplies. We can combine your orders- saving on postage costs. Gary has been formally involved in the woodwork industry for almost 40 years and that's not to mention the years he spent as a kid building and making things with his Father and Grandfather.

I have been selling Kieninger Mechanical Clock Movements for over 10 years and this is the premium movement available.
This is the most beautiful clock movement that I have ever seen or heard.
And yes I have seen them at the Kieninger Factory in Germany and have them in stock here at Burleigh.

Another Kieninger Mechanical clock movement that I sell and love is this one.
It is a triple chime full grandfather clock with some really nice features including a rotating chime sequence which means it gives you the option of changing melodies each hour!
It has a a few extra features such as an embossed pendulum bob and a very fancy gold arabic dial.

A new newsletter is coming in time for the woodshow with some great specials.

I wont be attending the show.

If you are travelling to the show from down south I'm only a minute off the Motorway.

I will be open from 6.30am and will provide free hot drinks and nibbles- thinking toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches etc as well as restroom facilities.

Maybe I will even cook some muffins as well. Let me know what your favourite flavor is?

Hi Everyone.

Yes it's a while since I have sent out a newsletter, please forgive me.

Firstly my thoughts go out to those of you who have been affected by the recent floods, cyclones and fires.
The start of this year has been terrible for so many people. Fortunately the aussie spirit in each of us has seen us all do what we can. As an aussie it's good to be able to lend a hand in person or at the very least to donate money to the appeals for the victims of these disasters.

My tip for this newsletter is.
If it the weather has been wet and the clock movement in the timber clock is not working properly- it could be due to the timber swelling so please .... "LOOSEN THE HEX NUT"...

But you must ring or email each of us so that we know otherwise your order will go as two separate parcels. The first newsletter has been sent to those who have signed up to receive it.

The specials on it are for people on the newsletter email list.

In short a reward for being on the mailing list .

My newsletter policy is

Newsletters will only be sent out every few weeks - NOT everyday.

They will only be sent to people who have signed up to receive it or have requested to be added to the mailing list.

Lists are confidential and are not sold etc.

The only information required is your name and email address.

I use the MailChimp program, via a link in my facebook account for you to log into the email signup.

Oherwise you can just send me an email asking to go on the email list.

Oh that 6mths flew by!

I'm in the process of sorting out an email newsletter.

Im a slow learner on the computer so it won't be overnight. Please be patient with me.

This year has been very interesting.

Politically we seem to be in a boat on a stormy sea.

The next six months should be interesting.

Whenever customers come into my shop they ask how am I going business wise.

I have to say I thank God that I can make a living doing what I do.

I work in a job that I love.

I meet many interesting people and have many customers who are very dear to me.

At the end of the day, I have a roof over my head,food in my belly and people who love me.

Oh and not forgetting a little car to take me from A - B.

The shop has been a bit quite this week so I'm feeling very smug.

My tax stuff is up todate and I have taken a stocktake.

Rohan will be minding the shop a little bit in the next few he has grown up selling clocks so...

This will give me the opportunity to catch up on a few things I can't do when I'm in the shop all day.

So if you really want to see me ring and make an appointment.

Hey its only 1 month to Christmas.

If you haven't started making those pressies now is the time to get started!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during 2009, its been a bit of a big year for me.

I'm looking forward to couple of weeks off over Chirstmas . I will close the shop 12pm Wednesday 23rd December and will reopen the shop on the 11th of January.

One more sleep , before I get the keys for the new shed.

The move starts over Easter and everything should be ready to go by the 22nd of April.

This is so exciting and inspite of about 10 days of lots of hard work and disruption to business ,I'm sure the end result will be worth it.

Looking forward to meeting many more of my customers face to face.

This week I have been taken delivery of lots of new stock. Every spare moment that I have I have been adding them to the computer but it is a long and slow process so keep watching my site.

Some of these are weather stations some even featuring original Barostar instruments- I haven't started unpacking yet. But due to the big hole in the market created by Barostar when they stopped supplying the DIY market some of these are worth considering.

I am really excited about a very unusual cookoo clock. Again these are a completed product. They are the real thing not a toy but they won toy of the year in Britian last year. These are a something many of you with children and or grandchildren may be interested in because they could be set into a nice piece of timber and provide a very sturdy clock with a real fun element. I just love them and think that they are just as suitable for adults who have a sense of fun and wnat something really different.

It's with great sadness that I have been watching the news of the terrible fires in Victoria and the great loss of lives and property. I have many lovely customers in Victoria and I want to convey to each and everyone of you that you are very dear to my hearts. Many of you I have known for many years and I "feel for you" because you are my friends first and customers second.

As a tribute to my wonderful Victorian customers I will be donating 33% of the proceeds of all* orders placed with Lets Make Time Clock Company on Friday to emergency relief agencies. I have heard that Coles are donating their profits from Friday's takings for Fire relief . I have decided to do my bit as well.

The majority of this money will be designated to the Fire Relief effort. I have many customers up in Nth QLd and will be designating some money for flood relief. As many of you know I have jillarooed on my family's farm in the Burdekin and really feel for those affected by the floods. I know that many farmers will have a very expensive time repairing fences etc destroyed for the second year running from floods!!!

( *exception 5% on mechanical clocks, and 5% on wholesale orders, excludes postage costs).

Sorry No Free shipping for orders placed on the 13thFEB.

If you are able to read this it means that after lots of blood, sweat and tears the Website is finally up and running. Not quite completed! There are still lots of products to add to the site as well things to update, etc.
Many of the product categories and the product codes have been changed. Some of these codes were named almost 20 yrs ago. So it is time to make the clock codes more descriptive about the product that they belong to. The 'fit-up' clocks will eventually all have an 'F' for fit-up. A number for the dial size, e.g. '100' and colour and style codes, e.g. 'F100WA' would be a 100mm fit-up/insert clock with a White Arabic dial.

As most of you have realised, Lets Make Time Clock Company is no longer a part of GPW. I greatly appreciate all the work that Huon has put into that website and have used much of his material on the new site. GPW is still available for all of the pen parts and machinery . I realise that it is a bit inconvenient to order from two places. With that in mind my prices are really competitive and my specials are good so that it's worth ordering from Lets Make Time Clock Company.
